The club trip for July was to dive out of West Bay in Dorset on the Ruby J charter boat with West Bay Dive Charter – see http://www.westbaycharters.co.uk/ . Our aim was to dive two sites on each of the two days diving. These dives were:-
- Moidart at 34m – WW1 wreck torpedo in June 1918
- Baygitano at 21m – WW1 armed merchant man sunk in March 1918
- St Dunstan at 30m – WW1 wreck of a armed dredger used as a mine sweeper
- Saw Tooth Ledges – at 25m – a scenic diver so that “Sharky” could collect some scallops for his dinner!
Great weather, a flat sea and great company resulted in a great weekends diving. This was UK diving at its best.
And for some it was just too much…
